A fine & unusual, English Regency period, mahogany breakfront kneehole desk.circa 1820/30.
Solid mahogany with delicate boxwood inlaid stringing. Seven deep mahogany lined drawers all locking with keys. Brass ring-pull handles. Retaining its old gilt tooled,slightly worn & nicely patinated hide leather writing surface. This desk was originally designed to stand beneath a window to afford natural light, the back being plain unpolished solid pine.
All recently restored & repolished & offered in really lovely condition.
Perfect for a home office.
