RESERVED -This a fine, rare & important medium size Irish antique Desk made in the manner of Thomas Hope and bearing the trade label of Robert Strahan & Co. 24 & 25 Henry Street, Dublin.

Constructed in Satin-Birch & Mahogany. New gilt tooled black hide leather writing surface. Large centre drawer. Twin cupboards, Right hand cupboard with four deep mahogany lined drawers. Left file cupboard with shelf. Drawer & cupboards with original working locks and later keys. Castor wheels under.

Plain stained back panel with old label. Desk probably originally made to stand behind sofa in a large room.
