A really quite exceptional mid 19th Cent. English Victorian mahogany double side Partners Desk bearing the very rare trade stamp “GRAYGOOSE – 57 GT. QUEEN ST”. Recent full restoration & polishing.
One side with nine deep mahogany & oak lined drawers, centre drawer locking with key. Opposite side with three deep mahogany & oak lined drawers above twin large file cupboards. The top with a lightly worn but undamaged hide leather, gilt tooled writing surface.
Raised on original brass castors & constructed in three sections for easy moving.
Size: 152cm wide x 100cm deep x 66cm high. Kneehole : 61cm high x 66cm wide.
With a very interesting English & Irish provenance ( Ref: Makers Name etc -see Dictonary of English Furniture ) . This desk is all about top quality & status. A really exceptional desk.
