A very good Irish,Victorian period (c.1850) kneehole pedestal desk with gallery back, possibly by Strahan. Originally from St. Patricks College Seminary, Thurles. Nine deep drawers with keys for most locks. Original brass handles etc. New gilt tooled hide leather writing surface to match the damaged original. Raised on brass castors & constructed in three sections for easy moving. Full professional restoration & french polishing all round, This superior antique desk is perfectly suited for placing in a room center.
