A very good,original, large & very heavy Edwardian mahogany roll-top Estate Desk constructed circa 1910. Offering considerable work & storage space with six deep drawers and two brushing slides on either side of the massive 29ins x 27ins knee-hole space and a large double door cupboard beneath. Above the large interior with four drawers and a central cupboard & an arrangement of pigeon holes. The gilt tooled burgundy hide leather writing surface is the original and is completely undamaged by use. The tambour top works easily & properly and will be fitted with a new lock & key before leaving our showroom. All brassware is original. This type of desk offers considerable security and as such, were very popular in the offices of large country estates & farms. This example is in very good original codition.
