SOLD – A Solid Mahogany English Victorian Knee-Hole Office or Study Desk

ITEM SOLD- A truly exceptional English Victorian period solid mahogany gentlemans large knee-hole office or study desk. circa 1880. Waxed,polished & retaining its original old patination.

Nine deep mahogany lined drawers, The lower drawers being large file size with a removable divider. The top three drawers all fitted with original Chubb Locks & bearing the V.R. & Crown stamp, all locking with original key. Above, each side with a pull out slide retaining the original gilded black hide leather writing surfaces. Original undamaged brass handles.

The top has been fitted with a new replacement gilt tooled black full hide leather writing surface.

The back, sides & large knee-hole interior all polished mahogany panelled and the whole desk is raised on large (hidden) replacement castors for easy of movement.
